Lelaki ditahan kerana cedera kekasih dengan parang dan kayu pallet di kebun sawit Kabong
Seorang lelaki berusia 50 tahun ditahan di Saratok selepas dipercayai mencederakan kekasihnya dengan kayu pallet dan menghunus parang di sebuah kebun sawit di Kampung Nyabor, Kabong, pada Khamis lalu. Mangsa berusia 35 tahun cedera pada jari, tangan dan badan selepas menolak hasrat suspek untuk berkahwin. Suspek positif dadah amphetamine dan methamphetamine, dan kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 324 dan 506 Kanun Keseksaan.

Sarawak sasar 9 OSEIC baharu menjelang 2030, RM30 juta untuk pusat keperluan khas di Samarahan
Sarawak merancang menubuhkan sembilan lagi One-Stop Early Intervention Centres (OSEIC) menjelang 2030 untuk memperluas perkhidmatan intervensi awal kanak-kanak berkeperluan khas. Kerajaan negeri juga meluluskan RM30 juta di bawah RMK-13 untuk fasa pertama Sarawak Special Needs Community Centre di Samarahan yang dijangka siap Mei 2028. Setakat 31 Disember 2025, seramai 745 kanak-kanak telah menerima perkhidmatan OSEIC.

SNCC Samarahan first phase set for May 2028 completion, RM30m approved
The first phase of the Special Needs Community Centre (SNCC) in Samarahan, Sarawak is expected to be completed by May 2028, with RM30 million approved under the 13th Malaysia Plan. State minister Fatimah Abdullah said the centre will provide lifelong support including early intervention, vocational training and residential care. She also announced 745 children received early intervention services statewide as of Dec 31, 2025, and Sarawak aims to establish nine more One Stop Early Intervention Centres by 2030.

Kategori beregu lelaki itu menyasarkan 32 pasukan dengan yuran RM100 setiap beregu dan pendaftaran ditutup 18 September. Johan membawa pulang RM1,000 dan piala.

Windstorm damages roofs of three longhouses in Bawang Assan
A strong windstorm and heavy rain hit longhouses in Nanga Tutus, Bawang Assan, this morning, damaging roofs and facilities and affecting nine households. Building materials for roof repairs were provided to the families after Bawang Assan assemblyman Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh visited the site to assess the damage.

Daughter returns to Kuching for Sarawak liberation anniversary, father's wartime diary remembered
Anne Read, 73, returned to Kuching for the 81st anniversary of Sarawak's liberation from Japanese occupation, attending a wreath-laying ceremony at the Sarawak World War II Liberation Monument in Pending. Her father, Hugh Humphrey, was a civilian internee at the Batu Lintang camp who secretly kept a diary during his internment. She visited the former camp site and laid a wreath, noting the trip coincided with the 25th anniversary of her father's death.

580kg crocodile caught in Batang Igan after disturbing fishing nets
A 580kg crocodile measuring 4.32 metres was captured in the Sebedil area of Batang Igan, Sarawak, early Thursday morning.
