PERKESO benefits for dependants of two Long Lellang crash victims
Two of the five people killed in Tuesday's helicopter crash at Long Lellang, Miri, Sarawak were PERKESO contributors, so their dependants qualify for monthly benefits. The pilot's family is eligible for RM5,355 a month and the medical officer's husband for a RM1,574.10 monthly pension, the Human Resource Ministry said. The other three victims' records did not meet the eligibility requirements.

Kementerian Kesihatan gantung sementara perkhidmatan Flying Doctor di Sarawak selepas nahas helikopter
Kementerian Kesihatan menggantung sementara semua operasi Perkhidmatan Doktor Udara (FDS) di Sarawak bagi membolehkan siasatan menyeluruh selepas nahas helikopter BO-105 berhampiran Lapangan Terbang STOL Long Lellang, Ulu Baram pada 8 September yang mengorbankan lima orang. Menteri Kesihatan Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad berkata keputusan itu membalikkan pendirian kementerian sehari sebelumnya, dan perkhidmatan Medevac akan diteruskan dengan kerjasama Bomba serta kemungkinan penggunaan aset tentera. Siasatan punca nahas masih dijalankan oleh Biro Siasatan Kemalangan Udara.

Aide: Dzulkefly proposed raising FDS allowance to at least RM60
Dzulkefly Ahmad's aide says the health minister proposed last Nov a 100% raise of the RM30 allowance for health workers on the Flying Doctor Service to at least RM60. The proposal is under consideration by MOF and JPA, hopefully announced in Budget 2027.
