The programme includes a multi-faith thanksgiving on Sept 14, a Muslim thanksgiving at the State Mosque on Sept 15, and a main event featuring a pulut kuning cutting and the signing of the Malaysia Proclamation Book by the Prime Minister, Sarawak Premier and Sabah Chief Minister.

PM serah bantuan RM1,500 kepada 111 keluarga mangsa kebakaran Numbak
Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim menyerahkan sumbangan khas RM1,500 kepada setiap 111 ketua isi rumah yang terjejas akibat kebakaran di Numbak, Kota Kinabalu. Bantuan disampaikan ketika lawatannya ke pusat pemindahan sementara di Dewan Serbaguna Damai. Kebakaran 30 Ogos lalu memusnahkan 202 rumah dan mengorbankan tiga kanak-kanak.
