2. Entered Empty | Total Failed | The harsh reality of beginning with nothing

@listingmine-music

Preparation failure. The protagonist walks into his new career expecting his previous status to open doors, only to realize he has no pipeline, no network, and no foundational trust. It is the quiet humiliation of standing in a new office and realizing a clean shirt and a title mean absolutely nothing without ground-level hustle.

New card still smelled like ink
New title on my chest
I walked into the office
Like the street would do the rest
Forms on the table
Coffee in a paper cup
They said welcome to the business
Then left me to stand up
No owner knew my number
No buyer knew my face
No uncle, no old contact
No reason I had place
I thought the badge meant entry
I thought the name card spoke
But a card is not a pipeline
And hope is not a rope
The whiteboard showed closings
Names I did not know
Areas marked in color
Streets I had not owned
I entered empty
With a title and a tie
Thought the market would receive me
But the market passed me by
I entered empty
Clean shirt, no ground
I brought my name into the street
But nobody turned around
First owner asked my area
I said the place looked strong
He asked which block sold last month
I stayed quiet too long
First buyer asked for options
I sent three links too late
Another agent sent ten more
And booked him before eight
I drove through roads I barely knew
Pretending they were mine
Learning shops and guardhouse names
One wrong turn at a time
Seniors moved with quiet lists
Old trust, soft hands
Owners answered when they called
Buyers knew where they stand
Should have walked the blocks before
Should have built the names at night
Should have tested one small street
Before I called it life
But I jumped in clean and hungry
Called hunger a plan
The title came before the market
Knew there was a man
I entered empty
Now I understand
The street does not reward
A title in your hand
I entered empty
No weapon, no land
I came to take the market
But the market took my stand
New shoes
Wet road
Name card
No load
I entered empty
And the first thing I sold
Was the lie
That I was ready
