Jururawat nahas helikopter FDS dikebumikan di Semadang
Debra Moset, jururawat berusia 40 tahun yang terkorban dalam nahas helikopter Perkhidmatan Doktor Udara (FDS) di Long Lellang, Baram, Miri, Selasa lalu, dibawa pulang ke rumah baharunya di Kampung Semadang, Kuching untuk penghormatan terakhir. Jenazahnya tiba di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuching kira-kira 10 pagi dan akan dikebumikan di Tanah Perkuburan St Patrick, Semadang pada esok. Nahas itu turut mengorbankan juruterbang Kapten Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, Dr Ainul Baraah Kamarudin, jururawat Jessie Paya Jok dan pembantu perubatan Alexson Adit Henry.

Debra Moset's mother recalls Christmas plan for new Kampung Semadang home before Long Lellang crash
The mother of nurse Debra Moset said her daughter had planned to celebrate Christmas at her new house in Kampung Semadang, Padawan, before the Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang. Renog Rasas, 71, spoke at the funeral wake on Sunday, which about 1,000 people attended, and recalled Debra's final message asking her to help tidy the house. Debra, 40, had worked in Miri and was part of the FDS team.

Anak jururawat nahas FDS tekad jadi doktor ikut pesan ibu
Euodia Then Suling, 15, anak kepada jururawat Debra Moset yang maut dalam nahas helikopter FDS di Long Lellang, Ulu Baram pada 8 September, bertekad menjadi doktor mengikut pesanan ibunya. Dia menerima ketibaan jenazah ibunya di Kampung Semadang, Padawan hari ini. Nahas itu mengorbankan kelima-lima individu dalam helikopter BO-105 berkenaan.

Haze eases in parts of Malaysia but parents stay alert over school closures

Rumah di Lorong Diplomatik Kuching terbakar 80 peratus, tiga penghuni selamat
Sebuah rumah di Lot 2798, Lorong Diplomatik Line 1, Kuching terbakar kira-kira 80 peratus dalam kejadian sekitar jam 9.47 malam. Tiga penghuni rumah itu dilaporkan selamat, manakala sebuah rumah bersebelahan turut terjejas kira-kira lima peratus akibat bahang api. Operasi pemadaman oleh Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Petra Jaya tamat sepenuhnya pada jam 11.07 malam.

Stakan assemblyman wants every JKKK to keep fire extinguishers
Stakan assemblyman Datuk Hamzah Brahim has proposed that every Village Development and Security Committee in his constituency be required to keep fire extinguishers at designated spots. Speaking after the Bomba community programme at Dewan Perpaduan Stakan in Taman Samarindah, he said JKKK annual allocations could be diverted from less urgent activities to buy the equipment.
