Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the Malaysia Agreement 1963 is a national pledge that must be honoured and implemented, speaking at the 2026 national-level Malaysia Day celebration at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching. He said MA63 cannot be resolved as long as some in the Peninsula see it as solely a Sabah and Sarawak matter.
