Skechers Malaysia targets 11 new stores, opens large Sungai Buloh outlet in September
Malaysia is now Skechers' largest market in Southeast Asia, with the company targeting 11 new locations by year-end. A large store in Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh is scheduled to open in September, while an opening at Merdeka 118 is planned for November 1. The company currently operates about 120 stores nationwide.

The National Farmers Organisation (NAFAS) signed a five-year MoU with China's Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group and Jiangsu Chemical Design Institute at MAHA 2026 in Serdang. The RM1.5 billion collaboration aims to develop an integrated phosphate fertiliser industry, including a raw-material processing facility and long-term supply agreements. The signing was witnessed by Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu.

Pineapple entrepreneur association expands SG1 cultivation area
The Pertubuhan Pengusaha Nanas SG1 Malaysia association was inaugurated at MAHA 2026 in Serdang, Selangor, with the aim of expanding SG1 pineapple cultivation to 2,000 hectares within six years. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security stated the target aligns with its goal of reaching RM2 billion in pineapple exports by January 2028.
