Raja Muda of Perlis: 1,885 PALAPES cadets receive commissions at UniMAP
A total of 1,885 PALAPES cadet officers from 20 public universities received their commissions at the 44th Royal Parade ceremony at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in Arau today. The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, said cadets must equip themselves with knowledge as the defence landscape grows more complex, including cyberattacks, hybrid warfare, drones and AI.

Perlis Raja Muda praises Palapes contingent's discipline at Kangar parade
The Raja Muda of Perlis, Brigadier General Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, praised the discipline and patriotism of the Palapes contingent from public universities that took part in the state-level National Day parade at Stadium Tuanku Syed Putra, Kangar. About 2,000 Palapes members from 20 public universities joined the parade, and he also welcomed 1,885 cadet officers to the 44th Royal Commissioning Ceremony at Unimap's Pauh Putra campus on 12 September 2026.

Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail officiated the 46th anniversary parade of the 504 Askar Wataniah Regiment at Kem Bukit Keteri. He said the Askar Wataniah is now recognised as a strategic asset strengthening national defence readiness, with its members' expertise in cyber, logistics, medical, engineering and technology serving as a force multiplier for the Malaysian Army.

Perlis Raja receives Deputy Army Chief at Istana Arau
The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, received Deputy Army Chief Lt Gen Datuk Mohamad Suria Mohamad Saad at Balai Mengadap Hijau, Istana Arau, yesterday. Istana Arau said the meeting reflects close ties between the Perlis royal institution and the Malaysian Army, strengthening security and defence cooperation given Perlis's position as a northern border state.
