Lanes on Loyang Avenue towards Changi Village reopened late on Sept 4 after PUB completed urgent repairs on a water pipe leak. The two-lane closure, announced on Sept 3, caused traffic congestion and a related exit closure on the TPE.

OTH Tampines offers free lunchtime motorcycle parking to ease Friday prayer congestion
Our Tampines Hub (OTH) is offering free motorcycle parking during weekday lunch hours to help worshippers at Masjid Darul Ghufran, especially for Friday prayers. The initiative, which began in 2024, has also seen the number of motorcycle lots at the hub increased from 68 to 143. The move is part of efforts to address illegal parking near the mosque that has been blocking access to fire extinguishers and walkways.

F1 Singapore GP: Marina Bay, Padang roads to close from Oct 7; MRT, bus hours extended
The Land Transport Authority announced road closures in the Marina Centre and Padang areas from Oct 7 to 13 for the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix. MRT and bus services will be extended during the race weekend from Oct 9 to 11 to manage the expected crowd.

Two lanes on Loyang Ave closed overnight for emergency water pipe repairs
Motorists on Loyang Avenue in Singapore face heavy traffic as two lanes are closed for emergency repairs following a water pipe leak. Two men charged for dangerous driving under influence of etomidate in separate incidents
Two men were charged in a Singapore court on Sept 3 for allegedly driving against traffic while under the influence of etomidate. The incidents occurred separately in Jurong West and Choa Chu Kang, with no injuries reported in either case.

Joo Chiat Road section to go car-free on Oct 3 for World Car-Free Day
A section of Joo Chiat Road between Dunman Road and East Coast Road will be closed to traffic on Oct 3 from 3.30pm to 9.30pm for World Car-Free Day. The Land Transport Authority announced the closure on Sept 2, marking the first time the annual event will be held outside the Central Business District.
