Former judge assault: textile tycoon and another ordered to enter defence
The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court has ordered Gulati's Silk House owner Pavitar Singh Manjeet Singh and Nor Imran Nordin to enter their defence on charges of abetting grievous hurt against former judge Jagjit Singh Bant Singh. The screwdriver attack occurred near Solaris Dutamas on 19 Oct 2023 and is believed to have stemmed from a family dispute. Two other attackers were sentenced to seven years' jail after a prosecution appeal.

Police hunt mastermind behind RM2.9m armed robbery at Jalan Ampang condo
Police are still hunting the mastermind behind an armed robbery at a condominium in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, in which a Chinese national lost RM2.9 million. The Wangsa Maju district police chief said investigations are ongoing and 12 witnesses have been questioned under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code.

Police question 12 witnesses over RM2.91 million Ampang condo armed robbery
Police have recorded statements from 12 witnesses in the armed gang robbery at Pavilion Embassy condominium in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, where RM2.91 million in cash, jewellery and luxury watches was stolen on Sept 7. Wangsa Maju police chief ACP Annas Sulaiman said investigators are still identifying suspects and are examining possible insider involvement given the condominium's strict security. The case is being investigated under Sections 395/397 of the Penal Code.

Shop assistant charged with injuring wife in Gong Badak
A vehicle spare-parts shop assistant pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Terengganu Sessions Court to causing grievous hurt to his wife on 5 September. Elderly man arrested for burning car in Cheras
A 62-year-old man was arrested by police after allegedly setting fire to a car on Jalan Midah 1, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
