   Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) is making inroads into Bersatu's strongholds in Perlis, particularly Kangar and Padang Besar. In Kangar, 90 of 99 branch chiefs left the party, while in Padang Besar and Arau division leaders and branch chiefs also joined Wawasan. They cited a loss of trust in the central leadership and said they will join Parti Wawasan Negara, led by Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin. This follows a similar mass resignation by the Padang Besar division leadership the previous day.
