Selangor Malay team target Raja-Raja Gold Cup after Agong Cup defence
Selangor's Malay team retained the Agong Cup for a fourth straight year after beating Kuala Lumpur Malay 2-0 at Stadium Sungai Besar. Coach Ahmad Fairuz Mohd Yunus said the win is a tonic for the Raja-Raja Gold Cup, which starts Friday, with Selangor drawn in Group C with Terengganu, Perlis and Penang's Flex Hi Suria FC.

Selangor retain Piala Agong for fourth straight year
Selangor beat Kuala Lumpur 2-0 in the Piala Agong final at Stadium Sungai Besar in Sabak Bernam, keeping the trophy for a fourth consecutive year. Muhammad Aisar Fahmi scored in the 15th minute and A Thiruchelvan added the second in the 48th. Selangor took home RM7,000 while Kuala Lumpur received RM3,000.

At Stadium Sungai Besar in Sabak Bernam, the Veteran Persatuan Bolasepak Melayu Malaysia side beat Veteran Sungai Besar United 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 friendly draw held ahead of the Piala Agong 2026 final. The final itself, at the same stadium this evening, pits last season's Piala Agong champions Selangor against Kuala Lumpur, the reigning Piala Emas Raja-Raja winners.
