A 29-year-old doctor, Yeo Teng Yao, was charged on Sept 3 with molesting a 24-year-old woman at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Yishun in 2023. He was previously employed by MOH Holdings and has been dismissed. His pre-trial conference is set for Sept 29.

Elderly man, 71, found dead after fall at Punggol block
A 71-year-old man was found dead at the foot of Block 126B Edgedale Plains in Punggol on Monday afternoon. Police believe he fell from height, and no foul play is suspected. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.

Man and woman arrested in Toa Payoh after drugs and weapons found in car

He confronted the man and, with the station manager, detained him until police arrived. Private-hire driver, 38, dies after crash on Joo Chiat Road; suspected heart attack
A 38-year-old private-hire car driver died after his vehicle rear-ended another car along Joo Chiat Road towards Marine Parade Central on Sep. 2. He was found unconscious and taken to Changi General Hospital, where he subsequently died. Police investigations are ongoing.

Man jailed 21 months for S$1,000 paid assault that broke victim's ankle in Toa Payoh lift
A 30-year-old Singaporean man, Lu Zhong Cheng, was jailed about 21 months for assaulting a stranger in a Toa Payoh lift for S$1,000. NEA fines for ground littering drop to 5,300 in first half of 2026
