A doctor has shared how nine years ago she manually ventilated a critically ill baby with an Ambu bag for two hours on a helicopter flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching after being awake for more than 24 hours. She said the memory has taken on new meaning after a recent helicopter crash that killed fellow healthcare workers.

First Women's Care Room for nurses launched at Sarawak General Hospital
The National Welfare Foundation (YKN) launched its first Women's Care Room at Sarawak General Hospital (HUS) in Kuching. The facility provides a comfortable rest area for female nurses, especially those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, officiated the facility, which is sponsored by Perinsuran Brokar Sdn. Bhd.

Free dog license, vaccination on September 5
The Padawan Municipal Council will hold a free dog license registration, anti-rabies vaccination, and microchipping program on September 5 at the Barei/Biperoh Kuching Association Hall in Kuching, Sarawak. The program runs from 9am to 3pm and is open to healthy dogs over three months old. Owners are reminded that failure to license and vaccinate pets may result in compound action.
