SUPP Youth chief Kevin Lau Kor Jie said Sabah and Sarawak need one-third of parliamentary seats to safeguard their constitutional rights under MA63, since constitutional amendments require a two-thirds majority. He spoke at a Mooncake Festival celebration in Sibu, where he also urged Sarawakians to stay united in defending the state's rights.

Aaron: religious groups key to national unity, opens MPC2026 in Sibu
National Unity Minister Datuk Seri Aaron Ago Dagang opened the first Malaysia Pastoral Convention 2026 at Kingwood Hotel in Sibu today, telling about 850 Catholic delegates from nine dioceses that religious communities must help build national unity. He said government policy alone cannot achieve unity and urged faith groups to move from tolerance to understanding, respect, trust and cooperation.
