She was first told she had an insurance claim, then was contacted by fake police who accused her of money laundering and instructed her to transfer money. Warehouse fire in Penjuru Road forces evacuation of about 50 people
A fire broke out at a warehouse at 10 Penjuru Road in Singapore's Jurong industrial area around noon. Man, 51, pleads guilty to raping teen daughter, surrendering after spotting her at police post

Vegetation fire near Gali Batu Depot in Woodlands extinguished, no injuries
A vegetation fire measuring about 200m by 200m broke out near the Gali Batu Depot in Woodlands on Sept 7. The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted at about 6.50pm and extinguished the blaze using three water jets, with no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Court of Appeal in Johor Bahru sentenced former real estate consultant Amir Shariffuddin Abd Raub to 10 years in jail and a fine of nearly RM228 million. British man in Singapore gets 5-day detention, 100 hours community service for assaulting PHV driver
A 22-year-old British man, Oruche Morgan Fidelis, was sentenced in a Singapore court to a five-day short detention order and 100 hours of community service for using criminal force on a 66-year-old private-hire vehicle driver. Man jailed 39 months, caned for driving on etomidate while delivering Kpods
A 32-year-old Singaporean man, Chua Beng Kai Jeremy, was sentenced to three years and three months' jail and two strokes of the cane for trafficking and consuming Kpods, and for driving under the influence of etomidate. He was caught twice, the second time while on bail, driving from Jurong to Punggol to make deliveries for his supplier. He was also disqualified from driving for five years.

A 24-year-old man, Basil Wang Zhuang Zhen, was sentenced on Sept 4 to two years' jail and two strokes of the cane for trafficking Kpods and other drugs. He was caught after ICA officers found a vape in his car at Woodlands Checkpoint, leading to a search of his home where authorities found thousands of tablets and other illicit items. He is the first person convicted for Kpod trafficking under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Malaysian jailed 15 weeks for smuggling 1,050 etomidate-laced pods through Woodlands Checkpoint
A 42-year-old Malaysian man, Ji Saow Hua, was sentenced to 15 weeks' jail on Sept 3 for importing 1,050 etomidate-laced e-cigarette pods worth $73,500. He was caught at the Woodlands Checkpoint on July 4, 2025, after an auxiliary police officer found the pods in his motorcycle's rear carriage box. Ji had previously been fined for a similar offence in 2024.
