Former judge assault: textile tycoon and another ordered to enter defence
The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court has ordered Gulati's Silk House owner Pavitar Singh Manjeet Singh and Nor Imran Nordin to enter their defence on charges of abetting grievous hurt against former judge Jagjit Singh Bant Singh. The screwdriver attack occurred near Solaris Dutamas on 19 Oct 2023 and is believed to have stemmed from a family dispute. Two other attackers were sentenced to seven years' jail after a prosecution appeal.

Identity of body found in drain still unknown
Police in Sungai Buloh are still working to identify a man's body, believed to be a murder victim, found in a drain at Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh last Saturday. No arrests have been made yet, and they are awaiting a report from the Chemistry Department.

Ambulance driver pleads not guilty to reckless driving causing teenager's death
A 41-year-old ambulance driver pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate's Court in Jasin to reckless driving causing the death of an 18-year-old motorcyclist. The incident occurred at the Ayer Merbau traffic light junction in Jasin on 26 August 2026. The court set bail at RM3,000 and suspended his license.
