Death toll from 11-vehicle crash on LPT rises to five
An 18-year-old Honda CR-V driver died after more than 10 days of treatment, becoming the fifth victim of the 31 August crash involving 11 vehicles at Kilometre 110.3 of the East Coast Expressway. His father was among four killed at the scene, while the cement tanker driver was charged at a hospital over four deaths.

Malaysia gets a bigger power backbone with new 500kV grid project
Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has commenced work on a new 500kV National Grid Backbone transmission line project, with the launch of the PMU Kampung Awah substation site in Maran, Pahang. The project, expected to be completed by 2030, will span about 500km and strengthen the national grid across several states on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
