Woman hurt as car flips after hitting raised road fixture in Petaling Jaya
A 46-year-old woman was injured when her Honda City overturned after its left tyre struck a raised metal road fixture on Jalan Gasing-Jalan Templer in Petaling Jaya at about 7.10am. She was taken to Assunta Hospital for a leg injury. Police say the poorly maintained fixture caused the crash and are investigating under the Road Traffic Rules.

Fire in Taman Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur kills mother and two sons
A fire at a double-storey house on Jalan Satria 7/5 in Taman Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur killed a 49-year-old woman and her two sons, aged 18 and 11. The Klang district police chief said there is no criminal element or foul play, and the bodies were sent to Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital for post-mortem. The Fire and Rescue Department is investigating the cause.

Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on LDP near Puchong; police seek Proton Saga driver
A man in his 40s was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) towards Puchong early yesterday morning. Police say a red Proton Saga struck the pedestrian, who was standing in the left lane, and fled the scene. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and police are investigating under the Road Transport Act.

NKVE northbound near Shah Alam fully blocked after late-night crash involving gantry
All northbound lanes of the NKVE near Shah Alam were blocked late Tuesday night after an accident involving what appeared to be a fallen overhead gantry and several heavy vehicles. PLUS Malaysia advised motorists to exit at the Setia Alam or Bukit Raja toll plazas and use alternative routes. The cause of the accident and any casualties were not immediately known.

Immigration Dept launches internal probe into fatal KL crash that killed three
The Immigration Department is conducting an internal investigation into its vehicle safety and SOPs following a fatal crash on Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur on Aug 19. The department's director-general said action will be taken if violations are found. Separately, five of 11 immigrants who escaped from the Tanah Merah depot have been recaptured.
