Over 50 PPR Taman Mulia residents join gotong-royong to foster unity
A Gotong-Royong Perpaduan programme at PPR Taman Mulia in Kuala Lumpur brought together more than 50 residents to paint road shoulders, collect rubbish and spruce up the housing area. The KRT chairman said the gotong-royong culture must be kept alive because cleanliness is a shared responsibility. The estate's Dapur Digital also provided 150 food packs to participants.

1,600 join Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 at Balai Berita Bangsar
About 1,600 participants took part in the Oxyenergy Prima Merdeka Run 2026 organised by Kelab Media Prima at Balai Berita Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, today. The 3.5km and 5.5km runs drew participants of all ages including people with disabilities, and were attended by Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil and Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari. Adam Naufal Amril, 15, of SMK Manjalara, Kepong, was the first to cross the finish line in the 5.5km category with a time of 20 minutes.

Kelantan rice restaurant Mok Yoh Pok Kob D'KL opens in Elmina, Shah Alam
Mok Yoh Pok Kob D'KL, a Kelantanese nasi berlauk restaurant, began operating on 11 July at Elmina Temu 2, Shah Alam. It specialises in gulai serati made with serati ducks supplied from Bachok, Kelantan, and has drawn strong response from residents around Elmina, Kota Damansara and Shah Alam.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil and Youth and Sports Minister Mohammed Taufiq Johari took part in the Oxyenergy Kelab Media Prima Merdeka Run 2026 at Balai Berita, Kuala Lumpur. The event offered 3.5km and 5.5km categories with Oxyenergy Health Sdn Bhd as main sponsor. Fahmi hoped more companies around Jalan Riong and Jalan Bangsar would join future editions.

1,500 runners join Media Prima Merdeka Fun Run in Bangsar
About 1,500 participants took part in the Larian Merdeka Oxyenergy Media Prima 2026, which started at Balai Berita in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. The three- and five-kilometre event included a special category for people with disabilities and was joined by Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil and Youth and Sports Minister Mohammed Taufiq Johari. Organisers plan to make it an annual event and will study requests to add longer distances.

About 1,500 people took part in the Larian Merdeka Oxyenergy Media Prima 2026 in Bangsar, including Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil and Youth and Sports Minister Mohammed Taufiq Johari. Fahmi said the run brought leaders closer to the Lembah Pantai community and promoted a healthy lifestyle, and hoped more corporations would back similar programmes. 8-year-old and 81-year-old conquer 118 floors of Menara Merdeka 118
Eight-year-old Chua Ze Yu and 81-year-old Melita Kit were the youngest and oldest participants in the IHH Sky Race at Menara Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur on Aug 22-23. Both climbed 118 floors and 2,845 steps in the team category, supported by family members. Kit trained at the MBPJ tower in Petaling Jaya, while Ze Yu practised in his apartment building.
