Fourteen people, including a child, were trapped in the middle of Sungai Pertak in Kuala Kubu Bharu after a flash flood yesterday. Fire and rescue personnel from Kuala Kubu Bharu, assisted by the Batang Kali volunteer fire squad, used a river crossing technique to bring all victims safely to the riverbank.

Motorcyclist killed after being run over by lorry on Batang Kali-Ulu Yam road
A 60-year-old motorcyclist died after being run over by a lorry on Jalan Batang Kali-Ulu Yam in Hulu Selangor at about 7pm. Two killed in two-vehicle crash on Jalan Kuantan-Maran
