1. Penang City Council catches 3,368 pest birds last month

   The Penang Island City Council (MBPP) caught 3,368 pest birds, including 1,996 crows and 1,372 pigeons, at several locations in George Town last month. The council also destroyed 114 crow nests as part of its ongoing efforts to control the bird population and maintain urban cleanliness.

2. RM4.25mil flood mitigation project in Kampung Pokok Asam to complete in October

   A RM4.25 million flood mitigation project at Parit Monsun in Kampung Pokok Asam, Penang, is in its final stage and expected to be completed in October. Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the project, which includes screw pumps and drainage improvements, aims to reduce frequent flash floods in the low-lying area.

3. Penang mandates Kampung Selamat pig farms to send waste to biogas plant

The state also plans to clean up sediment in the drains after clearing old waste.
