Teacher dies after pickup crashes into seven vehicles at Kota Kinabalu traffic lights
A teacher was killed after the Toyota Hilux he was driving skidded and crashed into seven vehicles near a traffic light junction on Jalan Kolam, Kota Kinabalu, at about 6am. The victim, Arizal Wahid, 43, was on his way to SK Sembulan and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are seeking witnesses to contact the investigating officer.

Man dies trapped in eight-vehicle crash at Jalan Kolam, Kota Kinabalu
A 44-year-old man died after the four-wheel-drive he was driving was crushed in a crash involving seven vehicles and a motorcycle at a traffic-light junction on Jalan Kolam in Kota Kinabalu at about 6.10am. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Health Ministry staff, and the body was handed to police.

Motorcyclist, 22, dies after skidding at Bundusan roundabout
A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash at the 360 Roundabout along Jalan Bundusan in Penampang, Sabah, at about 4.10am on Saturday. Police said the motorcycle went out of control while negotiating the roundabout and skidded, and the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

A non-permanent house at Kampung Contoh Petagas in Putatan was destroyed in an early morning fire on Wednesday. The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received the alert at 4.56am and brought the blaze under control within six minutes. No casualties were reported.

Three injured in early morning collision in Inanam
Three men were injured when a Perodua Myvi and a Toyota Hilux collided at Lorong Iramanis Centre, Kolombong, Inanam, early Saturday. Firefighters from the Lintas station extricated the men, who were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital II for treatment. The driver of the Hilux was unhurt.

Baby proboscis monkey freed from car bonnet at Kota Kinabalu airport
A baby proboscis monkey was found trapped in the bonnet of a family's car at Kota Kinabalu International Airport on Sept 4. Civil Defence personnel freed the animal after a 34-minute operation. The monkey was likely hit by the car during the family's journey from Labuan and will be handed to the Sabah Wildlife Department.
