    The Penang government says the Juru-Sungai Dua elevated highway project is on track for completion by 2030. Package 1, covering the route between the Juru and Sungai Dua toll plazas, is 40.79% complete and expected to finish by October next year. The RM3 billion project aims to ease congestion for about 200,000 daily users of the North-South Expressway corridor.

  2. Penang to auction Tanjung Pinang land to fund Ayer Itam bypass project

    The Penang government will auction a 2.42-hectare freehold plot in Tanjung Pinang on October 7 to help contractor Consortium Zenith Construction secure cash flow for the Ayer Itam-Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway bypass. The project is 92.46% complete and targeted for completion by April 2027.

    The first phase of the Pan Island Link 2A (PIL2A) highway in Penang has reached 29.85 per cent completion, 0.42 per cent ahead of schedule. The RM420 million project, which includes a marine bridge, is expected to open to traffic in December 2028. The highway will connect Jalan Permatang Damar Laut to the future Silicon Island development.
