Man fined S$560,000 for evading duty on over 28,000 bottles of beer in Singapore
A 47-year-old Chinese national, Han Xiaoyang, was fined S$560,000 in a Singapore court for evading over S$60,000 in customs duty on 28,236 bottles of beer. The scheme involved falsely declaring the beer as other goods. As he did not pay the fine, he will serve 164 days in jail.
