Singer and actress Amira Othman says she and her husband Fattah Amin are not ready to reveal the face of their son, Muhammad Jarir Umar, to the public. She says they want Jarir to grow up like an ordinary child without the pressure of public attention. Amira said this when met at the Anugerah Industri Muzik 25 press conference at Hotel Royal Chulan, Kuala Lumpur.

Syed Saddiq invites Ong Ye Kung to Oct 10 wedding with Bella Astillah
Malaysian politician Syed Saddiq has invited Singapore Health Minister Ong Ye Kung to his wedding to singer-actress Bella Astillah on Oct 10. The invitation was shown in a social media post on Sept 9, and Ong replied with congratulations a day later. The wedding will be held at Menara Merdeka Maybank in Kuala Lumpur, with celebrations also planned in Muar and Sabah.

Awie promises best performance at Stadium Merdeka solo concert
Datuk Awie has promised his best performance at his solo concert, Awie Rock King - Last Man Standing 2026, at Stadium Merdeka this Saturday. Malaysian composer and singer Yasin Sulaiman said he lost hope and thought it better to be hanged after being sentenced to 30 years in prison. After about four and a half years of treatment including at Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, he was released on 2 September on conditions to continue medication and avoid cannabis.

Comedian Abon seeks JKM aid after heart condition cuts his income
Malaysian comedian Abon, whose real name is Sharizan Ahmad, has applied for welfare assistance from the Social Welfare Department after losing his income since June due to a heart condition.
