GPS not perfect but committed to fixing weaknesses, says Premier's pol-sec
Datuk Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman said the Sarawak government under GPS does not claim to be perfect but is committed to acknowledging and collectively addressing its weaknesses. He spoke at the close of the PCDS 2030 programme at SM Pei Min in Miri, noting state revenue grew from about RM6 billion to over RM11 billion.

3,800 delegates in Miri for PBB Northern Zone convention
More than 3,800 delegates and observers have gathered at Miri Indoor Stadium for the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Northern Zone Convention, which Sarawak Premier Abang Johari Tun Openg will officiate tomorrow. A rehearsal was held today under deputy president Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, with delegates from 18 branches across Belaga, Bintulu, Miri, Marudi, Limbang, Lawas and Bakelalan attending ahead of the coming state election.

Sarawak minister: BIMP-EAGA must move from dialogue to delivery
Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin said BIMP-EAGA cooperation must now focus on implementation, not just dialogue. Speaking at the 4th BIMP-EAGA Trade Facilitation Cluster Meeting in Miri, he called for concrete projects in connectivity, trade and border facilitation to benefit people and businesses in the region.

RM14 million RTP funds upgrade facilities at 36 Miri schools
A total of 36 primary and secondary schools in Miri have received over RM14 million in Rural Transformation Project (RTP) funds to upgrade facilities. The latest project, a RM160,000 walkway at SK South Miri, was completed on Sept 7, over a month ahead of schedule.
