Police detain two, seize over RM400,000 in drugs in Sibu
Police in Sibu arrested two individuals and seized drugs worth RM412,351 in a raid on a house at Jalan Gambir. The haul included ketamine and Erimin 5 pills. The suspects, both 21, are being remanded for investigation.

RM9,000 fine after cyclist killed in late-night collision
A 25-year-old woman was fined RM9,000 by the Magistrates' Court in Sibu after a collision that killed a cyclist in November 2025. Monica Yeo Siew Yieng was convicted under the Road Transport Act for driving without due care and attention. The incident occurred along Jalan Dr Wong Soon Kai, and the victim, Mazeri Ayong, died at Hospital Sibu.

Man nabbed after punching sister, threatening to kill her
A 42-year-old man in Kampung Nyabor, Saratok was arrested for allegedly punching his sister and threatening to kill her after she scolded him. He also damaged her car windscreen. The suspect tested positive for drugs and has prior criminal records.

Army delivers 648 boxes of water to drought-hit longhouses
