RM4.25mil flood mitigation project in Kampung Pokok Asam to complete in October
A RM4.25 million flood mitigation project at Parit Monsun in Kampung Pokok Asam, Penang, is in its final stage and expected to be completed in October. Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the project, which includes screw pumps and drainage improvements, aims to reduce frequent flash floods in the low-lying area.

Penang mandates Kampung Selamat pig farms to send waste to biogas plant
The Penang government has made it mandatory for all pig farms in Kampung Selamat, Tasek Gelugor to send their waste to a biogas plant in Ampang Jajar since May to address pollution. Weekly monitoring by the Veterinary Services Department (JPV) found no farms discharging waste directly into drains or rivers. The state also plans to clean up sediment in the drains after clearing old waste.
