Mother of former senator Ras Adiba Radzi dies in Petaling Jaya
Siti Sariah Abu, the 81-year-old mother of former senator and Bernama chairman Ras Adiba Radzi, died at her home in Section 16, Petaling Jaya. She passed away peacefully while sitting at home at around 5.20pm. The funeral is expected to take place at the Bukit Kiara Muslim Cemetery tomorrow morning.

US official lays wreath at Tugu Negara honouring Malaysia's fallen heroes
United States Assistant Secretary Cate Dillon laid a wreath at Tugu Negara in Kuala Lumpur to honour those who sacrificed their lives for Malaysia's peace and independence. UMNO's 2026 General Assembly at WTCKL targets over 50,000 visitors
The UMNO General Assembly (PAU) 2026, held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTCKL) starting Wednesday, is expected to draw over 50,000 visitors from across the country. UMNO Secretary Mohd Sumali Reduan said the response has been encouraging, with only 112 spaces available for sales booths. A full rehearsal for the opening ceremony was held at Plaza Merdeka, WTCKL.

Asian parliamentary forum opens global secretariat in Kuala Lumpur after move from Tokyo
The Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) officially opened its new global secretariat house in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. The facility, relocated from Tokyo, Japan, will serve as a regional hub for parliamentary action on issues like population ageing and gender equality. The secretariat house was developed at a cost of RM958,930.
