F1 Bahrain GP preparations at SIC reach 80 per cent
Preparations to host the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit (SIC) have reached 80 per cent, according to Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari. Upgrade works at SIC are on schedule and 500 volunteers are being trained ahead of the 2-4 October event. Malaysia returns to hosting F1 after nine years.

Kedah Immigration deports, blacklists 140 undocumented migrants
Kedah's Immigration Department sent home 140 undocumented migrants held at the Belantik Immigration Depot in Sik, flying them out via KLIA yesterday. The group of Myanmar, Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Indonesian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Kenyan nationals was also blacklisted from re-entering the country.

UMNO's 2026 General Assembly at WTCKL targets over 50,000 visitors
The UMNO General Assembly (PAU) 2026, held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTCKL) starting Wednesday, is expected to draw over 50,000 visitors from across the country. UMNO Secretary Mohd Sumali Reduan said the response has been encouraging, with only 112 spaces available for sales booths. A full rehearsal for the opening ceremony was held at Plaza Merdeka, WTCKL.
