The Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (LPNM) recorded RM2.3 billion in potential investments from MoUs signed at MAHA 2026 in Serdang. The figure is over 25% of the RM8 billion target set by the agriculture ministry. LPNM will focus on downstream processing and high-value products like a natural sweetener from pineapple extracts.

NAFAS, Chinese firms sign RM1.5b MoU for integrated fertiliser industry
The National Farmers Organisation (NAFAS) signed a five-year MoU with China's Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group and Jiangsu Chemical Design Institute at MAHA 2026 in Serdang. The RM1.5 billion collaboration aims to develop an integrated phosphate fertiliser industry, including a raw-material processing facility and long-term supply agreements. The signing was witnessed by Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu.
