Ambulance driver charged with reckless driving causing death of college student
A private ambulance driver, Mohd Noorikhmal Baharuddin, 41, pleaded not guilty at the Jasin Magistrate's Court to a charge of reckless driving causing the death of 18-year-old college student Muhammad Amirul Asyraaf Md Azizan. The incident occurred at a traffic light at the Kampung Ayer Merbau junction on 26 August. The court set bail at RM3,000 and scheduled the next mention for 17 September.

Rampage in hostel, Tunas Bakti resident admits to damaging property
An 18-year-old resident of Sekolah Tunas Bakti Sungai Lereh pleaded guilty to a charge of mischief for damaging property at the school's hostel in Ayer Keroh. The Magistrate's Court ordered her to be sent to Hospital Permai in Tampoi, Johor Bahru for psychiatric evaluation before sentencing.

Driver dies after being run over by his own lorry, believed to have forgotten to pull the handbrake
A 72-year-old man died after being run over by his lorry in Taman Mawar, Machap Baru, Alor Gajah, Melaka. The lorry rolled forward, allegedly because the handbrake was not engaged, and struck the man as he walked towards a guard post. Police are investigating under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
