Kuching banker gets seven years' jail, 16 lashes after draining client accounts via DuitNow
A relationship manager at an international bank in Kuching was sentenced to seven years' jail, fined RM40 million, and ordered to receive 16 strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to defrauding eight senior citizens of RM1.58 million through a fake investment scheme and laundering the money via DuitNow and other transfers.
