Crocodile that bit Kg Lubok Weston man caught, killed in Sungai Siungau
A 10-foot female crocodile believed to have bitten a resident of Kampung Lubok Weston in Beaufort was hooked in Sungai Siungau and shot dead by Wildlife Department officers on Tuesday. The villager survived last week's attack after a friend struck the reptile's head, and the village chief said residents are relieved but warned that more crocodiles remain in the river.

Teen motorcyclist dies after crashing into road barrier in Beaufort
A teenage boy died on Sunday night after his motorcycle crashed into a road barrier along Jalan Kampung Betanduk towards Kota Klias in Beaufort, Sabah. Police received a report at 8.14pm and confirmed the victim died at the scene. In separate incidents, police detained a man for drug possession in Kampung Nukahan and a woman for illegal gambling in Papar.

Two houses destroyed in fire at Kampung Ranau-Ranau, Sipitang
Two houses were destroyed in a fire at Kampung Ranau-Ranau in Sipitang, Sabah, on Sunday evening. No injuries were reported. Firefighters from the Sipitang station brought the blaze under control within about 43 minutes of the emergency call.
