Thai man found drowned in Sungai Golok near Rantau Panjang
A 23-year-old Thai man, Faiz Hasan, was found drowned in Sungai Golok along the Malaysia-Thailand border near Kampung Pengkalan Pasir and Abe Yie in Rantau Panjang, Pasir Mas. He was recovered by Thai authorities at 7.10pm after a search and rescue operation that began the previous morning, and the body was handed to Thai authorities.

PGA seizes lorry carrying 10 tonnes of smuggled rice in Pasir Mas
The General Operations Force stopped a lorry loaded with 10 tonnes of rice believed smuggled from Thailand at a roadside in Kampung Banggol Kuin, Pasir Mas, early this morning. The 37-year-old local driver could not produce documents and the rice, worth about RM40,000, was seized for investigation under the National Padi and Rice Regulatory Act 1994.

Man held for storing 434 litres of petrol without licence in Pasir Mas
A 44-year-old man was arrested in Kampung Telaga Mas, Pasir Mas, for storing 434 litres of petrol without a licence for illegal trade. Kelantan KPDN seized petrol, a car and equipment worth RM6,836.18. The suspect is remanded for four days until September 9.

Five-vehicle crash in Wakaf Bharu injures four, damages house fence
Four people were injured in an accident involving five vehicles on Jalan Baru, Wakaf Bharu, Tumpat, Kelantan this afternoon. A Honda HR-V skidded and hit several other vehicles and a house fence, causing an estimated RM5,000 in losses to the homeowner.
