Serian records API 174, four Sarawak areas unhealthy
Four areas in Sarawak recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 6pm today, with Serian highest in the country at 174. Sri Aman recorded 164, followed by Kuching at 154 and Samarahan at 152, while Johan Setia in Selangor was the only other area nationwide with unhealthy air quality at 134.

Sri Aman records only 'very unhealthy' API reading of 216 as haze persists
As of 4pm, Sri Aman in Sarawak was the only area in Malaysia with a 'very unhealthy' Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 216. Sarawak remained the worst-affected state, with 11 areas recording unhealthy readings, while 35 areas nationwide reported unhealthy air quality.

DoE monitors bush, peatland fires in Mukah and Daro amid Sarawak dry spell
The Department of Environment is closely monitoring bush and peatland fires near Jalan Sibujaya Barat in Mukah and Sungai Nai in Daro, Sarawak, amid a dry spell. While the fire in Mukah is mostly controlled, about 2.5 hectares are still burning in Daro. The DoE is also tracking air quality, with Kuching and Sri Aman recording very unhealthy API readings.
