BERSATU Perlis urges those who quit party to give up appointed posts
BERSATU Perlis chairman Izizam Ibrahim has urged party leaders and members who recently quit to relinquish all political appointed positions under the state government. He asked Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah to review the status of those holding posts such as local authority councillors and village development committees. The call follows mass resignations by branch chiefs in Kangar, Padang Besar and Arau.

Wawasan breaches Bersatu stronghold in Perlis, 90 Kangar branch chiefs defect
Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) is making inroads into Bersatu's strongholds in Perlis, particularly Kangar and Padang Besar. In Kangar, 90 of 99 branch chiefs left the party, while in Padang Besar and Arau division leaders and branch chiefs also joined Wawasan. Newly appointed Perlis Bersatu chairman Izizam Ibrahim remains optimistic about defending the party.

Bersatu Kangar leaders, 90 branch chiefs quit party for Parti Wawasan Negara
The deputy chief of Bersatu's Kangar division, Faisol Rahman, along with division committee members and 90 of 99 branch chiefs, announced their immediate resignation from the party. They cited a loss of trust in the central leadership and said they will join Parti Wawasan Negara, led by Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin. This follows a similar mass resignation by the Padang Besar division leadership the previous day.
