The Perlis Municipal Council (MPNPs) has liability insurance coverage for claims over two private vehicles damaged by a fallen tree in Taman Sena, Kangar. The incident at about 3.30pm yesterday caused no injuries, and cleanup and inspection of at-risk trees are underway.

Contract worker pleads guilty to snatching RM10,000 gold chain in Arau
A contract worker pleaded guilty at the Kangar Magistrate's Court to robbing and injuring an elderly woman while snatching a gold chain worth RM10,000 at a house in Bumbung Lima, Arau on 5 September. Wan Afandi Wan Salehudin, 26, was granted RM6,000 bail with one surety, and sentencing is set for 23 September.
