Nestle Malaysia's Beach and Underwater Cleanup Initiative, which began in 2019, has been expanded to include environmental conservation, education, and community engagement to protect the country's coastal and marine ecosystems.
The Department of Environment (DOE) reported that transboundary haze has thickened as 1,211 hotspots were detected across southern Asean, mostly in Kalimantan. The hotspots are contributing to deteriorating air quality in Malaysia, prompting monitoring and potential health advisories.
