Mutiara GRS visits COTI patient in Kg Tanjung Aru Lama, gives RM3,000 and equipment
Datin Seri Juliah Salag, wife of the Sabah Chief Minister and president of Mutiara GRS, visited the home of a Care of the Terminally Ill (COTI) patient at Kg Tanjung Aru Lama on Tuesday under the Santunan Kasih Mutiara GRS Sabah programme. She presented a RM3,000 cheque, two electric hospital beds and two heavy-duty reclining wheelchairs to the Women's Affairs Committee of Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, plus cash, food baskets and necessities to COTI patients in Tanjung Aru.

Lions Club Kota Kinabalu trains single mothers in massage and baking
The Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu City, with PITSA, launched an initiative to empower single mothers with practical skills. Two workshops were held in Kota Kinabalu: a massage therapy training at the Palliative Care Centre and a baking workshop at the Cheshire Home Centre. The club also recalled past projects that provided ovens and sewing machines to participants.

NGO raises RM10k for the needy
The Wheels of Love Project, a joint initiative by JCI Kota Kinabalu and the Lions Club of Luyang A.C.E., raised over RM10,000 to provide mobility and medical equipment for the needy in Sabah. The equipment was delivered to homes in Kota Kinabalu, Luyang, and Papar by the end of August.
