Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that cloud seeding operations are targeting haze-affected areas and dams with falling water levels in Malaysia. The initiative aims to mitigate air pollution and address water supply concerns.
The Department of Environment (DOE) reported that transboundary haze has thickened as 1,211 hotspots were detected across southern Asean, mostly in Kalimantan. The hotspots are contributing to deteriorating air quality in Malaysia, prompting monitoring and potential health advisories.
