Selangor emerged overall champion of Para SUKMA 2026 in Shah Alam with 200 medals, including 93 golds, surpassing its initial target of 60 golds. Sabah was runner-up with 69 golds while Sarawak finished third with 52 golds. Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari hoped the national para athletes will continue to excel up to the Paralympic level.

Sarawak's para tenpin bowling squad won six gold medals at Para SUKMA Selangor 2026, beating its pre-Games target of five. Chew Jit Thye defends badminton WH1 gold at Para SUKMA Selangor
Perak athlete Chew Jit Thye successfully defended his badminton WH1 (wheelchair) gold medal at the Selangor 2026 Para Malaysia Games at the Selangor Youth and Sports Complex in Shah Alam. The 27-year-old won all four matches without dropping a set. He now trains at the Kampung Pandan Paralympic Sports Excellence Centre and aims for the Paralympics.
