Nafas signs RM1.5b MOUs with Chinese firms for integrated fertiliser industry
The National Farmers Organisation (Nafas) signed memoranda of understanding with China's Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group and Jiangsu Chemical Design Institute, involving an estimated investment of RM1.5 billion. The five-year collaboration, formalised at MAHA 2026 in Serdang, aims to develop an integrated phosphate fertiliser industry in Malaysia. Nafas also signed other agreements on Thursday with a combined estimated investment value of RM121.5 million.

The RM1.5 billion collaboration aims to develop an integrated phosphate fertiliser industry, including a raw-material processing facility and long-term supply agreements. The signing was witnessed by Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu.
