Two semi-permanent terrace houses in Kampung Padang Keladi, Durian Tunggal, Alor Gajah were destroyed in a fire on Wednesday afternoon. Nine vehicles were also burnt, but no casualties were reported. The fire was fully extinguished by 4 pm.

Melaka teen who drowned at Pantai Klebang was family's hope for disabled sister
A 16-year-old boy, Muhammad Arif Daniel Nizamuddin, drowned after going swimming with a friend off Pantai Klebang in Melaka. His body was found by fishermen near Pulau Upeh after a two-day search. His mother, Mazan Jaafar, said he was the family's hope to care for his older sister, who has Down syndrome.
