Sarawak Literature Festival 2026 to spotlight indigenous stories in Miri
The Sarawak Literature Festival (SLF) 2026 will be held at the Miri Indoor Stadium from September 23 to 27. Sarawak's Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, said the festival aims to promote the state's stories, languages, and traditions as part of the creative economy. He also voiced support for Miri's aspiration to become a UNESCO Creative City of Literature.

Minister: Hobbies like Digimon can lead to youth business opportunities
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin said hobbies and collectibles can become an industry creating economic opportunities for youth. He spoke at the prize ceremony of the Digimon GP Borneo & Hobbies Expo 2026 in Miri on Sunday, which drew participants from Sarawak, Peninsular Malaysia and Brunei.
