1. Lee Kim Shin: Jalan Pulasan park defects must be fixed before retention sum released

   Sarawak Transport Minister Lee Kim Shin inspected the Jalan Pulasan recreational park in Senadin, Miri on Thursday, nearly a year after its completion. He said stagnant water, paintwork and facility defects must be rectified before the project's five per cent retention sum is released, and urged the council to cut grass and provide rubbish bins.

2. Sarawak earmarks Miri Port land for proposed oil and gas free zone

   The Sarawak government has earmarked land at Miri Port for a proposed Free Zone and Base Support Services to support upstream oil and gas activities. Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas announced this during the Miri Port Authority's 43rd anniversary ceremony at Kuala Baram. The dredging of the Kuala Baram access channel is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
