    Air Pollutant Index (API) readings at three monitoring stations in Terengganu - Paka, Kuala Terengganu and Kemaman - simultaneously exceeded 150. Air quality expert Assoc Prof Azman Azid of UniSZA said the increase suggests possible regional pollutant transport and requires further analysis including hotspot data and the MyCMAQ model.

    Hazy conditions and reduced visibility hit several areas in Pahang today, with all five API monitoring stations in the state recording unhealthy readings. Indera Mahkota in Kuantan recorded 164, the highest in Pahang since the haze began, and schools in Kuantan have suspended outdoor co-curricular activities. A state committee chairman advised residents to limit outdoor activity, avoid open burning and wear masks.
