KPKT channels RM6.427 million for environmental health campaign in 635 local authority areas
Malaysia's Housing and Local Government Ministry is allocating RM6.427 million for its Environmental Health Campaign across 635 local authority areas nationwide from 2021 to 2026. Deputy Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu said the funds will upgrade public amenities and raise community hygiene standards. She spoke at the National World Environmental Health Day 2026 celebration and the closing of the 2026 Local Authorities Convention in Kepala Batas.

Health DG: Trauma care needs all-party approach
Health Director-General Datuk Seri Dr Mahathar Abd Wahab said trauma management in Malaysia must be treated as an integrated national system involving government, the private sector, NGOs, academic institutions and communities. He spoke at the Malaysian Trauma Conference in Georgetown, Penang, today. He also cited the National Trauma Transformation Conference Tour 2025-2026, held at six regional locations nationwide.

Caterer at Lenggong boarding school ordered to close after 159 fall ill
A caterer serving a boarding school in Lenggong, Perak has been ordered to close after 159 students and staff developed symptoms of suspected food poisoning. The Hulu Perak District Health Office inspected the premises and ordered the closure under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.
