Salor zapin, a fading Kelantan dance, revived after four-year research effort
The Salor zapin, a traditional dance from Kampung Salor in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, that faded in the late 1990s, has been revived. Researchers and cultural artistes spent nearly four years gathering fragments of the choreography from former practitioners to reconstruct the dance. The revival is now being documented to preserve the tradition.
